...and I am nearly 18 months old now! And getting taller every day. I really don't like being treated like a baby, I'm very independent and want to do everything by myself.
My favorite toys- Books, soft toys, my new wooden animal puzzle, my "quad bike" that I got for my birthday and can now finally ride!
My favorite people- Still Mummy and Papi, Aunty Debbie, Grandma and Grandad
What makes me laugh- Tickles, chasing and hiding games with Papi
I enjoy- watching animal videos on YouTube, dancing, Papi's guitar
What makes me cry- Sore teeth/ gums, going to bed when I don't want to, falling and bumping my head
My newest skills- Sliding, I can climb the ladder and go down slides all by myself; identifying all the animals in my animal books
My word list- I have lots of words now, the latest ones are no, si (yes), mine, yogurt, toes, dress, baa (sheep), fish, oops... and I can say my own name.
I really don't like- I still don't like mashed veges, and I also dislike potatoes, loud noises
My favourite foods- Peaches, strawberries, blueberries, pavolova!, and as always broccoli, cheese and pasta. I am also developing expensive tastes having sampled brie, salmon and other treats and really enjoyed them!

Growing Up Fast
I am already16 months old and growing fast, a real toddler not a baby anymore! My first birthday already seems a long time ago- if you missed it you can see some pictures here. I have been walking since I was just nine months old, and just love to be moving. I like to dance, run, climb and I've almost figured out how to jump! I am also learning to talk and already have about a dozen words , in Spanish, English and baby-ish. I said my first words at 11 months- ta and Dada (but much to Mummy's disappointment I have only just learned to say Mama at 15 months!).
There are plenty of pictures of me, and even some video in my photo album... but here is a couple of Mummy's favourites.

My favorite toys- Dolly, Neigh (horse soft toy), books
My favorite people- Mummy and Papi of course, Aunty Debbie and Grandma
What makes me laugh- Bouncing on the bed with Dada, chasing animals (espeically Grandma's old cat and dog...)
What makes me cry- Not much unless I'm tired, hungry or sore from teething.
My newest skills- Climbing (stairs, boxes, onto chairs), using a spoon, and I'm working hard at learning to put my shoes on.
My word list- My first words are ta, dada, up, agua (water), dolly, teddy, bath, car, shoes, pan (bread), mama, oof oof (dog), cat, neigh (horse)
I really enjoy- Music and dancing, Spanish playgroup, Baby Einstein DVD's, "reading" books
I really don't like- Mashed veges, being shut inside the house for too long, the vacuum cleaner.
My favourite foods- Pears, grapes and strawberries, broccoli, cheese, bacon, pasta
There are plenty of pictures of me, and even some video in my photo album... but here is a couple of Mummy's favourites.

Stop Press...
I can walk! Well, I can take a couple of steps anyway! Last Sunday I was playing with Grandad when I heard Aunty Jo crinkle some newspaper and rather than get back on the floor and crawl over to her I just stepped toward her- 2 whole steps before my bottom hit the floor. Unfortunately Mummy wasn't looking but Papi saw me. Since then I've been trying to do it again. I can manage one step but thats all so far. But watch this space, I'll be walking soon!

On the move
It's been a lot of hard work but after a month of trying, in mid-January (at just 6 months old) I finally figured out how to crawl in my own unique spider-like fashion. From there it was easy to figure out how to pull myself up to standing, and now can easily cruise the furniture. But that is not my goal- what I really want to be able to do is to walk. So I frequently let go of the furniture just to see how long I can stand- Mummy and Aunty Debbie timed me at 10 seconds the other day. But (although I don't like to admit it) I am still very wobbly. I'm lucky Mummy recently bought me a whole pile of beautiful fuzzibunz cloth nappies which provide good padding for frequent falls!Mummy has also been keeping me busy with new activities. This year I am going to Spanish playgroup where I've already met some cool new friends, and to baby music classes which I really enjoy.
My favorite toy- The TV remote, newspapers, Papi's guitar, Papi's face and my Lambie
My favorite people- Still Mummy and Papi, but I also really like Grandma, Aunty Debbie ('cause she is living with us and can play with me every day) and my friend Jakie
What makes me laugh- Aunty Debbies funny faces, playing peek-a-boo
What makes me cry- Mummy going away, going to bed when I'm not ready
I really enjoy- Music (especially Papi's Guitar) and trying to dance, lots of attention from my family and friends
I really don't like- Being in my carseat too long if I'm awake, pumpkin
My favourite foods- Pears, peaches, blackberries (in fact any fruit!)
I'm a big girl now- At 6 months I was 64cm long and weighed 7.5kg

One of my favourite toys!

Christmas presents are great, but the wrapping paper is the best!
